Notes: ^ Setlist incomplete (guesses). I'll never forget the dude who picked up me and my friend as we hitched it to Burlington from Middlebury. Unreal show, haven't seen a more intimate and better show from The Slip until last year's boat show around NYC. If my memory serves me well I recall a sick Alsoa to end the first set, a Yellow Medicine somewhere in the show, and a Honey Melon towards the end of the evening which was dedicated to the guy who kept yellin for it throughout the entire night. Nothing like the environmental house at UVM. [tom - tcsajko at yahoo.com ]

Notes: ! Debut--originally, tentatively titled "Torph" after the famous Fred "Torph" Torphy. This was a private party at Chris O'Donnell's house (whose Caravan site birthed SlipBase) with 15-20 friends, many of whom had just graduated from Phillips-Exeter Academy and some kids from Little Rhody. Show was during day and outside. Beautiful spot with the slip playing on one side of side of a little stream and the 'crowd' on the other side. The DAT was hanging from a tree right above the band and the Discs sound absurdly good. Seriously the istrumental to start the second set is HUGE (It is labeled "We just got stoney by the river Jam"). [Jonny Bahr jonnybahr at hotmail - December 05, 2003 ; cleantone - November 18, 2003 ]

Notes: ^ Miles Davis cover. NEW SETLIST! This show is up on Oz, dated 7/5/99. However, I'm quite sure this is at Mick's lounge, and NOT 7/5/99. Brad comments on being in San Francisco, and refers to playing Santa Cruz the night before. He also sends Johnny's Tune out to John(ny) Meyers, who was in the audience, and credits him with authorship. I remember a show at Mick's (two actually), and the night before in Cruz (more later), and Johnny was definitely there. In fact, this was the night that Marc nearly killed me (and Tim) with laughter by throwing the biggest pelvic thrust ever achieved by a bass player. I mean this thing would've scared Elvis.
